Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Director of Procurement, you will operate as a self‑starter who performs independently while serving as a value‑added member of the Enterprise Procurement organization and individual capital project teams. You will focus on delivering the best total value by balancing cost, schedule, quality, and service, while ensuring procurement processes and controls are followed to mitigate risk and provide trusted procurement partnership to engineering, operations, and other internal stakeholders.

A Taste of Your Responsibilities

  • Lead sourcing, supplier selection, negotiation, and contracting activities for capital projects, including contract and purchase order creation and ongoing management

  • Partner with cross‑functional teams including engineering, project management, operations, and other internal stakeholders

  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and governance requirements

  • Draft requests for information and requests for proposal (RFP), and perform associated commercial and technical analysis

  • Identify and recommend innovative or alternative sourcing strategies and supplier options to meet financial and budget objectives

  • Establish and lead supplier relationship management initiatives within the capital supplier base to improve performance, drive innovation, and reduce total cost

  • Research market dynamics, cost drivers, supplier business models, and historical spend to strengthen negotiation strategies

  • Resolve supplier and internal stakeholder issues to support successful project delivery

  • Manage supplier performance by tracking key performance indicators and communicating results

  • Support continuity of services through proactive supplier performance management

  • Build and maintain positive, productive, and collaborative relationships with suppliers, contractors, and internal partners

Ingredients Required for Your Success

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 7+ years of experience in procurement

  • Experience in construction and equipment procurement

  • Broad understanding of capital equipment and the construction industry

  • Contract law knowledge, including review and interpretation of statements of work, engineering drawings, and technical specifications

  • Experience negotiating large purchases and complex technical requirements

  • Demonstrated success managing competitive sourcing events and single‑source procurements

  • Experience independently managing multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines

  • Experience with interpersonal communication, customer service, and problem‑solving

  • Proven track record of executing complex initiatives from strategy through implementation

  • Analytical mindset with a creative and solution‑oriented approach

  • Intermediate Excel experience and ERP, enterprise resource planning system experience

  • Number of Days in Office: 3 Tuesday – Thursday

Compensation

Pay Range:$109,000-$159,000

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
