Electronic Diagnostic & Repair Technician

Position Summary

The Electronic Diagnostic & Repair Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, modifying, and assembling electronic and electrical equipment used in manufacturing environments. This role supports equipment maintenance and engineering teams by diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing repairs, documenting work completed, and assisting with the development of new machine designs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment issues.

  • Utilize diagnostic and testing equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other electronic test instruments.

  • Wire, solder, build, modify, and repair electrical components and assemblies.

  • Document repairs, testing results, maintenance procedures, and related technical information.

  • Identify and source materials, replacement parts, and tools required for repairs and equipment rebuilds.

  • Create and update equipment schematics and technical drawings.

  • Complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision and according to established priorities.

  • Collaborate with Engineering and Maintenance teams to support new machine designs and equipment improvements.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong technical aptitude with electro-mechanical systems.

  • Proficiency in hand soldering wires and electronic components.

  • Experience working with high-power equipment and stereo microscopes.

  • Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.

  • Ability to read, interpret, and understand schematics, blueprints, diagrams, and technical documentation.

  • Skilled in the use of hand tools, including wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers.

  • Proficient with precision measuring and testing instruments, including:

  • Micrometers

  • Dial calipers

  • Volt meters

  • Oscilloscopes

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple priorities.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the electronics field.

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Access.

  • Experience using AutoCAD and SolidWorks preferred.

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required for travel between company locations.

Pay Details: $25.00 to $27.00 per hour
