Full job description
Ziegler CAT has an opening for an Equipment Delivery Driver to transport equipment to customers or other Ziegler locations. An Equipment Delivery Driver fills a critical role in supporting Ziegler’s Rental, Sales and Customer Repair operations. The driver must possess a strong work ethic and have excellent customer service skills. They should be knowledgeable of federal, state and local regulations and be familiar with product we support.
Responsibilities:

Completes and updates progress of daily delivery schedule

Orders state, county and city permits
-
Completes and maintains accurate Hours of Service log according to FMCSA regulations
-
Interacts with dispatch throughout the day to support changes in the delivery schedule

Works with various Ziegler personnel in loading/unloading equipment that driver is assigned to move

Determines and communicates necessary repairs of equipment to appropriate personnel

Works in a cooperative manner with team and superiors

Maintains professional relationships with those outside of direct team members

Professional and courteous to all customers at time of equipment delivery
-
Maintains professional and friendly customer relations in all daily interactions
-
Listens to and resolves customers’ complaints regarding the delivery and pickup of equipment

Performs vehicle walk around inspections according to FMCSA regulations

Inspects, refuels and maintains vehicle daily
-
Has a consistent working knowledge of all equipment sold and serviced by Ziegler

Performs basic repairs and maintenance to truck and trailer
Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required
-
Class A CDL required
-
Hazmat endorsement a plus

DOT medical certification card
-
Must have and maintain a clean driving record; follows Federal, State and Local regulations

Able to drive equipment safely

Able to complete daily inspection reports

Able to keep vehicle in clean and proper working order

This role is deemed safety-sensitive and will be subject to a DOT drug screen and physical as a pre-employment requirement

The pay range for this position is $25.00 to $34.00
Starting wage is dependent on skills, experience, education and location. Pay range may vary by 10% depending upon the applicant’s location. Along with competitive pay, full time positions are benefits eligible which includes:
