The Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) will oversee all safety-related activities on the project and ensure compliance with federal safety requirements, site-specific safety plans, OSHA standards, and EM 385-1-1 guidelines.

Skills and Requirements

  • OSHA 30 (Construction)

 • 5+ years of experience in a dedicated SSHO or Construction Safety role

 • Experience supporting federal construction projects

 • Experience implementing and managing Site Safety & Health (SOH) Programs

 • Formal safety training completed within the past 3 years

 • Strong working knowledge of EM 385-1-1 and OSHA regulations

 • Experience managing safety documentation, reporting, inspections, and compliance processes

 • ASHE Healthcare Construction Certification (HCC) - ability to obtain • Experience supporting healthcare construction projects

 • Experience in occupied medical facilities

 • USACE project experience

 • Additional federal construction safety certifications

 • Experience on renovation projects involving active building occupants
