The One Stop Student Services Center provides integrated administrative services for current and prospective students. The One Stop Student Services Center Advisor is a primary point of contact for SUNY Delhi, providing preliminary information for financial aid, student accounts, records, and enrollment. This role supports students throughout their college experience by delivering accurate information, proactive problem-solving, and exceptional customer service within a concierge model.

The Center is seeking an empathetic Advisor that takes a student-centered, hands-on approach by anticipating challenges, identifying solutions, and coordinating support across campus to remove barriers to student success. This role offers cross-functional student solutions for financial aid, student accounts, admissions, records and enrollment, registration, academic advising, military benefits and certification services, among others, to ensure a seamless student experience.

The Advisor is responsible for resolving student inquiries through in-person, phone, email, chat, and virtual channels. The role requires strong communication skills, problem-solving, professionalism and the ability to escalate complex matters to the appropriate next tier per established protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist students and families at the front counter and provide general information about SUNY Delhi services, programs, and campus resources.

  • Supports the admissions office in meeting with families or looking at applications, may have light travel.

  • Respond to a large volume of phone, email, and in-person inquiries in a timely manner.

  • Maintain working knowledge of campus and community resources and make appropriate referrals.

  • Apply institutional, SUNY, state, and federal policies and procedures, ensuring compliance in daily operations.

  • Participate in campus programs including Open Houses, Orientation, Accepted Student Days, College Nights, and financial literacy events.

  • Assist with training, workflow development, documentation, and continuous improvement efforts.

  • Participate in outreach initiatives and campaign events as needed.

  • Admissions Travel >5%

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

  • Two or more years of experience providing customer service in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong written communication and organizational skills

  • Experience working with and serving diverse populations.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's in higher education, student affairs, or business

  • Previous experience in financial aid, student accounts, registrar, admissions or student affairs in a fast-paced, customer-service-oriented higher education environment.

  • Bilingual / Spanish Preferred

Additional Information:

  • Starting Salary: $57,151

  • SL3, commensurate with experience and qualifications

  • Monday-Friday, 12-month, calendar year; evening and weekend hours as required

  • Budget Title: Senior Staff Assistant, SL3
