About The Role

We are looking for a mid-level Software Engineer with a strong backend focus to join our Fiat Payment Products team. You will build and operate the systems behind our fiat and stablecoin payment rails, including our Public API that powers deposits, payouts, swaps, and settlement for merchants like crypto exchanges, PSPs, and fintech platforms.

The role is primarily backend. You will work closely with product managers, fellow engineers, and integration support to deliver on the roadmap and keep production systems reliable as merchant traffic scales. We value technical proficiency, clear communication, ownership, and the ability to work independently. Experience with financial systems or crypto is a plus, and any frontend experience is welcome.

What You Will Do

  • Build and deliver backend features across our fiat and stablecoin payment flows and Public API.

  • Collaborate with product managers to shape requirements and deliver against the product roadmap.

  • Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and apply engineering best practices.

  • Ensure system availability and reliability through robust monitoring, stress testing, and maintenance as merchant traffic scales.

  • Contribute to architecture decisions, data-driven tradeoffs, and the design of scalable, secure systems for financial transactions.

  • Participate in code reviews, backlog grooming, and sprint planning.

  • Support merchant integrations and L2 investigation alongside the team.

  • Collaborate with frontend engineers to integrate backend services smoothly. What We Are Looking For

  • At least 2 years of backend engineering experience, proficient in a language such as Ruby on Rails, Golang or other related backend technologies

  • Strong SQL and relational database design (MySQL or PostgreSQL).

  • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.

  • Grounding in system design principles and building for scale.

  • Comfortable with CI/CD concepts and version control (Git).

  • Good written and spoken English.

  • Familiarity with AI assisted engineering workflows is a plus

  • Experience with financial systems, payments, or fintech infrastructure is a plus.

  • Familiarity with crypto, stablecoins, or blockchain is a plus.

  • Experience with Agile delivery is a plus.

  • Frontend familiarity (React, TypeScript, or JavaScript) is a plus.
