Propelis is seeking a motivated and ambitious individual to join the Corporate Tax team. The selected candidate will be responsible for working on indirect tax projects. This individual will play a key role in assisting and executing transactional tax projects for the company. This is a 6 month temporary assignment with the possibility of a permanent position.
Target Responsibilities:
Manage exemption certificate campaigns to update existing exemption certificates
Assist with new registrations and account closures, where necessary
Assist with OneSource tax software mappings in parallel to SAP integrations (vendor master, customer master, material group mappings, etc.)
Assist with tax technology efficiencies and migrations within D365/SAP/Avalara/OneSource Indirect
Respond to tax authority inquiries and audits, as necessary
Assist with identifying and documenting process improvements
Identify potential refund opportunities while documenting processes
Effectively communicate within the organization to facilitate information
Required Experience:
3+ years of previous administrative, customer service, tax/finance or relevant experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience
High Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook, & Internet Applications
SAP, Dynamics, and/or tax calculation engines experience a plus
Required Skills:
Strong written and oral communication skills, detail-oriented
Strong interpersonal skills and work effectively with others to enhance a team environment
Strong customer service skills for both internal and external customers
Strong desire to take on new responsibilities and exhibits behavior of personal accountability
Ability to successfully complete multiple tasks within project timelines and work independently
Knowledge or experience with data analytic or robotic platforms, a plus
Physical Aspects/Work Environment:
Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk, hear and see.
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. This is a remote position in the US. We are open to candidates in various states, with the exception of those residing in the following: AK, DC, ME, NH, NM, OK, HI, MS, MT, NV, NE, ND, SD, VT, WY, WV
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $30 - $35 USD per hour. Ultimately, in determining pay, we will consider the successful candidate's location, experience, and other job-related factors.

Experience
