Job Details
Responsibilities:

The Nursing Technician assists in the care of patients by performing various duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.

Sets up and operates telemetry and electrocardiogram equipment.

Monitors cardiac rhythms and observes telemetry tracings for assigned patients.

Ensures monitor alarms are appropriately set and functioning.

Identifies and interprets cardiac rhythms, including normal and abnormal patterns.

Implements and reviews cardiac monitoring orders in collaboration with nursing staff.

Assists in patient data collection.

Documents accurately on the patient's medical record and on other forms.

Performs treatments and procedures according to established hospital policy and procedures.
Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED Required.

Must have successful completion of a duly authorized CNA Training Program OR is a student enrolled in a nursing program who has completed fundamentals of nursing including clinical rotation OR relevant work experience, including nursing assistant and/or personal care aide

Alternate experience in lieu of the above to include: Successful completion of an Advanced Medical Technician program, required OR One (1) year active, full-time experience either in a pre-hospital setting or hospital setting as a telemetry technician (preferred)

BLS from American Heart Association required.

Must be computer-literate. Must be able to read and write basic English
Salary Range
USD $29.43 - USD $29.43 /Hr.
This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
