This position will report out of AMP HQ in Columbus, OH
Position Title: Communications & Public Relations Intern (Fall 2026)
Reports To: Director of Strategic Communications & Public Relations
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Basic Functions: College communications or public relations major interested in gaining practical experience in a professional setting.
Essential Functions:

Assist with the development of communications and public relations material for AMP programs and events.

Contribute to the preparation and distribution of AMP and OMEA digital publications, social media and white papers.

Support the management and maintenance of communications databases and lists.

Assist with the creation of multimedia communications, including video and still photography.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, & Qualifications:
-
Must be currently enrolled at an accredited four-year college or university with achievement of sophomore, junior or senior status.

Must have demonstrated skills in marketing, public relations and/or communications.

Must possess excellent organizational, written and oral communication skills.

Must have a good working knowledge of personal computers and applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.

A good working knowledge of graphic design applications would be desirable (such as Adobe programs, Animaker, Canva, PowerPoint, etc.).
