Overview
Insight Global is supporting a client seeking an SAP ABAP Developer to support a team responsible for applications within the claims and finance ecosystem. The team partners closely with Claims Transformation, Reinsurance, Finance, and business stakeholders across both Auto and Home lines of business.
Current initiatives include migrating legacy and IBM-based systems into the FAX ecosystem, supporting Guidewire-related efforts, system conversions, integrations, and production support activities.
Day-to-Day
• Participate in requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders
• Collaborate with technical leads and business teams on solution design
• Develop and enhance SAP ABAP applications, reports, interfaces, and integrations
• Support system conversion and modernization initiatives
• Assist with production support and issue resolution
• Participate in technical design discussions
• Work across multiple business areas including Claims, Finance, and Reinsurance
Support project delivery activities based on team priorities and project progress

Skills and Requirements
Must Haves
• 4-6 years of SAP ABAP development experience
○ Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into technical solutions
○ Strong experience participating in design discussions and development sessions
○ Experience developing custom SAP reports, enhancements, interfaces, and forms
○ Strong troubleshooting and production support experience
Ability to work directly with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams Plusses
• PI Planning / SAFe experience
• Claims experience
• Insurance industry experience
• Guidewire integration experience
Experience supporting system conversion or migration initiatives
