Full job description

JOIN THE TEAM BRINGING ADVANCED AUTONOMY TO THE BUILT WORLD

At Bedrock, we're moving AI out of the lab and into the real world. Our team includes veterans who helped launch Waymo, scaled Segment to a $3.2B acquisition, and grew Uber Freight to $5B in revenue. Today, we're deploying autonomous systems on heavy construction equipment across the country, improving safety on job sites and accelerating schedules on critical infrastructure projects.

We're not here debating the future of AI. We're deploying it in the real world. In just two years, we've raised $350M and achieved the first fully autonomous excavator deployments in construction.

This is where algorithms meet steel-toed boots. You'll work alongside construction veterans and world-class engineers to solve physical-world problems that simulations can't touch. If you're ready to do meaningful work on hard problems, we'd love to have you join us.

THE ROLE

Join a team that treats internal technology as a product. Bedrock's Infrastructure team owns the systems the company runs on: identity, endpoints, networking, and our SaaS footprint. We deliver the corporate technology projects that let every other function scale:

  • Field teams open new offices and test sites with connectivity and AV that work on day one

  • Finance and Marketing stand up foundational systems like a new ERP and CRM that integrate cleanly with identity and infrastructure from the start

  • Business teams put centrally managed IT resources to work with nothing more than a pull request

You'll own the projects and shape the standards that bring Bedrock Robotics' centrally managed systems to the rest of the company.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Partner with teams like Finance, Marketing, Field Operations, and PeopleOps as their technology consultant, turning business needs into concrete, well-documented plans the broader infrastructure team can execute against

  • Own the layer of shared services that business systems are built on top of. New tools come in and you make them fit the environment cleanly rather than bolt on beside it. You see each rollout through to go-live.

  • Build with the tools already in place: modify HCL to deploy a new service, wire up integrations in platforms like Zapier or Rippling's workflow engine, or write a small Python Lambda when the job calls for it

  • Own the workplace technology standards for new sites, from internet connectivity to video conferencing, and deploy them across office expansions in San Francisco, New York, Austin, and Phoenix

  • Coordinate the vendors and services behind each site buildout, staying accountable from first conversation to final handoff

  • Co-author the Requests For Discussion (RFDs) behind major system rollouts, often guiding a business partner through their first, so Bedrock ends up with systems that fit the company rather than a stack that fragments with every new tool

  • Pull in the right specialists, from the Identity lead for SSO to the wider infrastructure team for everything downstream, while remaining the accountable owner end to end

  • Drive the evolution of the standards you own so every deployment lands better than the last

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7-10+ years scoping and delivering corporate technology or business systems projects in a high-growth or multi-site environment

  • Prior ownership of a major business system deployment (Productivity, Line of Business, ERP, CRM, HRIS, or similar), with the ability to explain architectural decisions, tradeoffs, and outcomes

  • Working proficiency in Bash, Python, and HCL; comfortable making changes in existing infrastructure-as-code repositories, scripting against SaaS APIs, and building in integration platforms like Zapier or Rippling workflows

  • Working fluency in enterprise integration fundamentals: SSO (SAML/OIDC), user provisioning, RESTful APIs, and data flows between SaaS systems

  • Experience defining or deploying workplace technology standards for networking, AV, and office or site buildouts, including managing the vendors behind them

  • Exceptional writing and documentation skills; in this role, the document is often the product

  • Equally credible discussing standards and vendors with a facilities crew and integrations and identity with an engineer

  • High agency and comfort with ambiguity; you own projects end to end without waiting to be told the next step, and you see internal technology as something to build and improve

Our roles are often flexible. If you don't fit all the criteria, or are in another location (especially one where we have an office like SF or NY) please apply anyway! We'd love to consider you.
