Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Patient Access Representative, you will be a vital front-line professional, expertly managing patient registration and admission workflows across diverse access points such as the Emergency Department and main registration. This role is crucial for maintaining seamless patient experiences and operational efficiency, leveraging strong organizational skills to coordinate medical records, schedule appointments, and address insurance verification needs. You will be a key player in revenue cycle management, ensuring accurate data capture and compliance with healthcare regulations, ultimately contributing to exceptional patient care and fiscal integrity.
Every day, you will engage directly with patients, providing high-quality, patient-centered service by gathering and verifying demographic and insurance information, and clearly communicating financial responsibilities. You'll utilize multiple systems for scheduling, documentation, and inquiry resolution, meticulously identifying and escalating discrepancies to maintain workflow integrity. Your responsibilities will also include supporting daily access operations, collaborating with the healthcare team to optimize workflows, and upholding privacy standards, making each interaction a testament to our commitment to patient satisfaction and operational excellence.
To be successful in this role, you will need a strong background in patient access, preferably with at least one year of relevant healthcare experience, along with a high school diploma or GED. You should possess comprehensive knowledge of patient registration procedures, health insurance payers, and real-time eligibility verification, coupled with basic computer and administrative skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and data entry. Your ability to communicate effectively, analyze data, and meticulously manage tasks will be paramount in ensuring accurate and compliant patient access processes within our dynamic healthcare environment.

Pay Range
