What You'll Do

  • Perform and document patient intake, including vital signs and medical history

  • Prepare patients and charts for provider visits

  • Assist providers with OBGYN exams, procedures, and treatments within scope

  • Administer medications and immunizations as ordered

  • Perform venipuncture, specimen collection, and in-office lab testing

  • Track and report lab results; complete required quality control documentation

  • Accurately document care and code visits, labs, and procedures in the EMR

  • Support referrals, scheduling, registration, and check-out as needed

  • Reinforce patient education and self-care instructions using clear language

  • Collaborate with providers and team members to improve workflows and patient experience

  • Maintain required competencies, certifications, and ongoing education

What We're Looking For

  • Education : High School Diploma or GED, required. Candidates will provide proof of current certification from one of the approved certifying registries including: • CMA with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) • CCMA with the National Health Career Association (NHA) • RMA with the American Medical Technologists (AMT) • American Registry of Medical Assistants (NHCWA) • National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) • National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) • American Allied Health (AAH) RMA with the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA). If a candidate is not currently certified, they must obtain certification or registration by the end of the sixth month of their hire and sign an education agreement, required.

  • Experience : Previous work in a medical office, preferred.

  • Licensure/Certification: Current certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire as CMA, RMA or CCMA, required. Current State Drivers License (Palliative Care Only), required.

  • Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.
