Full job description
Job Title: Painter Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Painter, where you will be responsible for paint preparation and the painting of vehicle bodies, assemblies, and parts. You will perform spray‑booth painting on a wide range of assemblies, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet specifications.
Responsibilities

Mix and apply primers and paints to vehicle bodies, assemblies, and parts.

Clean and maintain paint equipment, spray booths, and air systems to ensure optimal performance.

Conduct all surface preparation tasks, including body filling, glazing, sanding, scuffing, and cleaning.

Set up, adjust, and operate automatic spray equipment and bake cycles, ensuring coating thickness meets specifications.

Interpret and follow prints, sketches, instructions, procedures, and applicable military/commercial specifications.

Communicate effectively with Project Managers, Engineering, Operations, and other departments throughout production.

Maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety protocols.

Ensure punctuality for work, meetings, and all scheduled activities.
Essential Skills
-
At least 1 year of painting experience.

Ability to read measuring tape down to 1/16".
-
Knowledge of paint, painting materials, and characteristics.

Ability to use tools in an elevated position, above head.

Must have the ability to grasp and maintain grip for long periods with power tools, such as paint guns and air nozzles.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency with electric and pneumatic power tools.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anaconda, MT.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
