Opportunity Overview

We are looking for a Test Technician who epitomizes technical and operational excellence. In this role, you will work on multiple projects, demonstrating strong troubleshooting, testing, and validation skills. You will play a key role in ensuring product quality and operational efficiency. As a Test Technician, you will support engineering and production teams by performing detailed testing and inspections of printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) to ensure functionality, quality, and compliance with specifications. You will thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and be responsive and flexible to meet the demands of the role. In this role, you will:

  • Conduct functional testing of PCBAs using established test procedures and equipment.

  • Perform detailed inspections and measurements to ensure PCBAs meet quality standards and specifications.

  • Troubleshoot test failures, identify root causes, and collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve issues.

  • Maintain accurate records of test results, failures, and corrective actions.

  • Calibrate and maintain test equipment to ensure accurate and reliable measurements.

  • Assist in the development and improvement of test procedures, methodologies, and test fixtures.

  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.

  • Provide feedback and suggestions for process improvements to enhance product quality and efficiency.

  • Stay updated with industry trends, new testing techniques, and emerging technologies relevant to PCBA testing.

Basic Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Education Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in electronics or a related field is preferred.

  • Proven experience as a Test Technician or similar role, with a focus on PCBA testing.

  • Strong understanding of electronic circuits, components, and basic troubleshooting techniques.

  • Familiarity with various test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, and function generators.

  • Proficiency in reading schematics, technical drawings, and datasheets.

  • Knowledge of industry standards and quality control processes related to PCBA testing.

  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to perform precise measurements and inspections.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

  • Familiarity with ESD precautions and safe handling of electronic components.

Compensation:

The hourly range for this role is $18-$24 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.

Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
