Job Summary

Responsible for field and maintenance oversight during the design, implementation, and execution of a major projects at Beaver Valley. Ensures designs are practical and buildable, construction processes and expectations meet all plant and regulatory requirements, and final systems are integrated seamlessly into existing operations.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities

  • Design Implementation Review – Assess engineering designs for practicality, constructability, and feasibility within outage or nuclear work window constraints; evaluate complexity and buildability to ensure execution readiness.

  • Modification Integration Oversight – Verify all modifications tie into existing plant systems in accordance with approved nuclear processes (e.g., excavation controls, clearance boundaries, confined space protocols, guarded equipment requirements).

  • Construction Process Compliance – Monitor lookahead schedules to proactively prevent violations of Comanche Peak (CP) procedures, including nuclear safety, industrial safety, Foreign Material Exclusion (FME), and clearance requirements.

  • Construction Quality & Execution Oversight – Oversee construction quality standards, including land sheet accuracy, FME controls and logs, closeout inspections, testing, and commissioning activities.

·Interface with Engineering, Construction, and Operations to resolve technical or process issues affecting quality, schedule, or safety.

·Ensure all oversight activities align with NRC regulations, INPO standards, and site-specific governance.

Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements

·Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience) with 3 years of Nuclear Experience or 10 yrs Nuclear Experience

·Experience in nuclear power plant maintenance, or execution oversight, with emphasis on Outage and online execution in leadership roles.

·Knowledge of nuclear processes, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance requirements.

·Strong experience in vendor oversight, construction quality assurance, and work planning

Key Metrics

·Zero violations of nuclear or safety processes during execution.

·On-time delivery of construction milestones with quality acceptance.

·Early identification and resolution of constructability or process issues.

·High compliance rate on oversight audits and inspections.

·Travel Required for Meetings and Project Oversight
