*Local Pay: $58.00 / hour W2

Shift Details:

Full Time Schedules

Some weekends may be required

8 or 12 hour shifts available depending on the facility

Contract Position (flexible with shift availability is a plus)

Area: Mental Health OT-8HR Class: RECT Shift: Mon-Thurs 7am-5:30pm (30) or Tues-Friday 7am-5:30pm (30)
Recreational Therapist Duties & Responsibilities:
-
Assess patient needs
-
Consider medical records
-
Personal observation and talks with the patient and his or her loved ones
-
Execute a therapeutic program targeted toward what that patient requires most
-
Keep current on communal and therapeutic resources available to best help the patients
-
Document a patient's progress during their activities
-
Other duties assigned my supervisor
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Minimum of 1 year of experience within the last 36 months (3yrs) as a Recreational Therapist

Ability to build rapport with patients
-
Compassionate and caring demeanor
-
Familiarity with medical terminology
-
A valid and current CPR card (American Heart Association)
-
Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.

Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
CERTIFICATES ACCEPTED FROM THE NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR THERAPEUTIC CERTIFICATION (NCTRC) OR THE CALIFORNIA BOARD OF RECREATION AND PARK CERTIFICATION (CBRPC)
