Employment Type: Full timeShift: Day Shift Description: OR Scheduler - Pre Admission Testing Albany Memorial Campus Full Time Days

As a member of the Patient Focused Care Team, the OR Scheduler provides clerical, communication, reception, scheduling, registration, supply management and other supportive services for Pre Admission Testing to ensure high quality services to patients, family members and other hospital staff.

The OR Scheduling/PAT Scheduling Secretary is responsible for:

  • Scheduling all OR scheduling requests and Pre Admission Testing appointments.

  • Maintaining patient’s medical record according to established procedures.

  • Conducting in-person registration and phone registration as required.

  • Entering all case, appointment, and registration information collected into hospital information system (HIS) in a timely manner and with a high degree of accuracy.

Education Requirements:

  • High School diploma, two years college preferred

Experience Requirements:

  • Ability to use PC; familiarity with Word and Excel; excellent data entry skills and strong attention to detail; excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; must be able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Minimum of two years of office experience
  • Medical office experience preferred
  • Strong computer skills and pleasant phone manners
  • Medical terminology is required.

Pay Range: $17.25 - $22.54

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
