Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Primary Job Responsibilities:

Serves as shift charge person in the absence of department leadership, prioritizing work to ensure instrumentation and equipment availability.

Ensures safe work practices for all employees, monitors staff use of PPE in decontamination area, and takes appropriate action in emergency situations.
-
Participates in new employee orientation, on-the-job training, in-service education, and facility process improvement initiatives.
-
Oversees and monitors supply and equipment inventory required for the department.
-
Rotates assignments among various areas within the department, including decontamination, surgical tray assembly, sterilization processes, and equipment management.

Operates complex sterilization equipment and selects the correct method of sterilization based on manufacturers’ instructions for use (IFU).

Education:

Associate [Preferred]

Work Experience:
- 1+ experience [Preferred]
Licenses and Certifications:

Certified Registered Central Service Tech (CRCST) [Required] OR Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) [Required]

Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Preferred]

Pay Range:
$19.23 - $30.77 Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law)
