Business Planning Analyst

Description -

This role is responsible for driving the development, implementation, and monitoring of strategic business plans and initiatives within the organization. The role provides valuable analysis and advice to management across various domains and manages cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations and effective business planning. The role formulates highly complex statistical and financial models for forecasting and defines KPIs and metrics to measure business performance.

Responsibilities

  • Leads complex data and business analysis to develop business plans, and identifies recommendations and insights.

  • Works independently to construct highly complex statistical and financial models to forecast business performance; coaches others on model development.

  • Establishes the metrics required to measure business performance, and develops the process for identifying and addressing performance gaps.

  • Manages complex, time-sensitive market research projects and prepares synthesized intelligence reports with clear implications.

  • Leads cross-functional teams across the entire span of business planning activities.

  • Analyzes financial and operational performance, synthesizes complex business data into actionable insights, and created executive level presentations and assets that tell a clear, data driven business story.

  • Partners with business leaders to develop business plans and proactively identify new opportunities.

  • Identifies cutting-edge analytical tools, models, and methods for making key business decisions

  • Demonstrates a high level of business acumen and technical expertise in areas such as business planning, operational management, and financial analysis.

Core Activities

  1. Executive storytelling & message design
  • Convert strategy, performance, and operational updates into a tight narrative arc (what matters, why now, what decision needed).

  • Build “executive logic” decks: bottom line first , crisp flow, minimal clutter, audience-appropriate detail.

  1. High-impact slide creation (PowerPoint mastery)
  • Design and produce high-polish, on-brand presentations: keynotes, QBRs, all-hands/AEM’s, Board/ELT updates, customer briefings.

  • Create/maintain templates, slide libraries, and reusable visual systems (icons, charts, styles) to scale output.

  1. Data visualization & clarity under pressure
  • Turn complex data into simple visuals (charts, infographics, story-driven layouts) that executives can present confidently.

  • Rapidly iterate from leader feedback while preserving narrative integrity and visual consistency—often on tight timelines.

  1. Video & multimedia production
  • Produce short-form and event-ready videos: openers, bumpers, highlight reels, internal updates, recognition/milestone videos.

  • Edit footage, add motion graphics/titles, tighten pacing, and deliver final exports in formats optimized for distribution.

Education & Experience Recommended

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
  • 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in strategy, planning, operations, market research, or a related field.

Salary

The pay range for this role is $105,050 to $161,800 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
