As a Security Officer Patrol Driver in Big Island, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, support access control, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. This driving position offers the opportunity to provide outstanding customer service, communicate with employees and visitors, and respond to site needs with integrity, teamwork, and care. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.

• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.

• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor entry records, and directing authorized personnel in accordance with site procedures.

• Complete required daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift communications, while maintaining a professional presence and following Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

• Customer service experience is preferred.

• A guard card or license is preferred.

• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
