Full job description

The Mission At Supercritical, we aren’t just building another electrolyser; we are developing the world’s first high-pressure, ultra-efficient system to make green hydrogen affordable. By eliminating the need for expensive compressors and "forever chemicals" (PFAS), we are removing the biggest barriers to a zero-carbon industrial future. We are growing fast. While we might not have a live vacancy that matches your exact profile today, we are always looking for the "Supercritical" people of tomorrow: the problem solvers, the tinkerers, and the climate-obsessed. Who We Look For We are a mission-driven team of electrochemists, mechanical engineers, data geeks, and pioneers. Even if your specific job title isn't listed, we want to hear from you if you are:

  • A Technical Trailblazer: You might be an expert in high-pressure fluid systems, power electronics, or complex chemical modelling.
  • A Data-Driven Thinker: You love turning "messy" experimental data into actionable insights using Python, SQL, or time-series analysis.
  • A Creative Operator: You thrive in the ambiguity of a startup and enjoy building processes where none existed before.
  • A Mission Ally: You are genuinely passionate about deep-tech solutions to the climate crisis.

What Life at Supercritical Looks Like

  • Radical Transparency: We share our wins, our failures, and our data openly across the entire team.
  • High Autonomy: We hire smart people and get out of their way. You will have the freedom to own your projects from day one.
  • Hybrid and Balanced: We work from our West London lab and office to collaborate in person, but we embrace flexibility (typically 2 to 3 days remote) and respect your time outside of work.

The Perks

  • Family First: 3 months of full-pay parental leave for all parents.
  • Investing in You: Support for professional training, accreditations, and technical subscriptions.
  • The Basics (But Better): Competitive pension (5% employer contribution), monthly team lunch outings, and milestone celebrations.
  • Sustainable Culture: Work in a PFAS-free and iridium-free environment focused on "forever" solutions.
