Job Summary:

Gummi World Manufacturing is seeking dedicated Sanitation Team Members to ensure our production facility meets the highest cleanliness and safety standards. This role is critical in maintaining a sanitary environment for food-grade production, adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of production equipment, tools, and facility surfaces.

  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and sanitation schedules to ensure compliance with FDA, GMP, and other regulatory standards.

  • Safely handle and apply cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer instructions and safety guidelines.

  • Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.

  • Assist in waste disposal and recycling efforts to ensure proper handling of production waste.

  • Conduct inspections to verify sanitation effectiveness and report any deficiencies.

  • Work closely with production staff to ensure minimal downtime during cleaning operations.

  • Follow all safety procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

  • Document cleaning and sanitation activities accurately.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Experience in food manufacturing sanitation is a plus but not required.

  • Knowledge of sanitation chemicals, equipment, and procedures is beneficial.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Work Environment:

  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals and wet conditions.

  • Requires lifting up to 50 lbs. and standing for long periods.

  • Cold or warm environments depending on facility conditions.
