Job Description

Mindify Wellness and Care is seeking compassionate, skilled, and patient-centered Mental Health Therapists to provide high-quality behavioral health services to a diverse client population throughout New Jersey.

As a member of our growing clinical team, you will provide individual, family, and/or group therapy services while collaborating with psychiatric providers and other healthcare professionals to support clients on their mental wellness journey. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering evidence-based care, values collaboration, and is committed to empowering clients to achieve meaningful and lasting outcomes.

This position is ideal for a bilingual Spanish-speaking therapist who is passionate about increasing access to quality mental health services within underserved communities. The selected clinician will provide both in-person services in Perth Amboy and virtual therapy sessions, offering flexibility while making a meaningful impact in the community.

Work Location & Schedule

This position offers a flexible hybrid model that combines in-person and telehealth services.

Providers are expected to provide onsite services in Perth Amboy, New Jersey a minimum of two days per week. The remainder of the schedule may be conducted virtually based on provider preference, patient demand, and scheduling needs.

Flexible scheduling options are available. This position offers the opportunity to build and maintain a consistent caseload through both in-person and virtual services.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Assessment & Treatment Planning

Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and ongoing clinical evaluations. Identify behavioral health diagnoses and treatment needs. Develop individualized, measurable, and evidence-based treatment plans. Monitor patient progress and modify treatment interventions as clinically appropriate. Maintain a patient-centered approach while supporting clients in achieving their therapeutic goals.

Therapeutic Services

Provide individual, family, couples, and/or group therapy services as appropriate. Utilize evidence-based treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Informed Care, and other clinically appropriate interventions. Assist clients in developing healthy coping skills, emotional regulation strategies, and sustainable wellness goals. Provide crisis intervention and support when clinically indicated.

Collaboration & Care Coordination

Collaborate closely with psychiatric providers, primary care physicians, care managers, and interdisciplinary treatment teams. Participate in clinical consultations, case reviews, and treatment planning discussions. Coordinate referrals and connect clients with community resources and support services. Promote continuity of care through effective communication and collaboration.

Documentation & Compliance

Complete timely, accurate, and clinically appropriate documentation within the electronic medical record system. Maintain treatment plans, progress notes, assessments, and discharge summaries in accordance with agency, payer, and regulatory requirements. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and all applicable state and federal standards. Maintain ethical, professional, and clinical standards at all times.

Professional Development & Quality Improvement

Participate in supervision, professional development, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical consultations as applicable. Maintain all required licensure, certifications, and continuing education requirements. Stay current with evidence-based practices, behavioral health trends, and advancements in mental health treatment.

Qualifications

Education

Master's Degree or higher in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited institution.

Licensure

Candidates must possess an active New Jersey license or associate license in good standing. Qualified licenses include LCSW, LSW, LPC, LAC, or other appropriate New Jersey behavioral health credentials.

Language Requirement

Fluency in Spanish and English is required.

Many of the individuals and families we serve are Spanish-speaking, and the ability to provide culturally responsive care and communicate effectively in both languages is essential.

Candidates must be able to conduct clinical assessments in Spanish and English, provide therapy services in both languages, communicate effectively with clients, families, and treatment team members, and complete documentation in accordance with organizational and clinical standards.

Experience

Experience providing behavioral health counseling or psychotherapy services is preferred. Experience working with diverse populations in outpatient, community-based, or integrated care settings is preferred. Experience providing telehealth services is also preferred.

Compensation

This is a Fee-for-Service position with compensation ranging from $30.00 to $40.00 per completed session, based on experience, licensure level, credentials, language abilities, and clinical expertise.

Employment Structure & Growth Opportunities

All new providers begin as 1099 Independent Contractors, providing flexibility while becoming familiar with our patients, programs, workflows, and organizational culture.

Following a 90-day review period, providers may be considered for transition into a part-time or full-time W-2 position based on clinical performance, documentation compliance, patient engagement, reliability, professionalism, collaboration, organizational needs, and alignment with Mindify's mission and values.
