Full job description

Our client, a leading organization in the safety and equipment manufacturing industry, is seeking a Mechanical Repair Technician to join their dedicated team. As a Mechanical Repair Technician, you will be an essential part of the Repair Department supporting the inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of fall protection equipment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Mechanical Repair Technician

Location: Red Wing, MN (100% onsite)

Pay Range: $20 to 25 per hour on w-2

Contract: 6 months to start

What's the Job?

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair customer-owned fall protection equipment upon return from the field.

  • Disassemble equipment to access internal components and identify defective parts.

  • Perform mechanical repairs, including replacing damaged components and fabricating parts using metalworking tools.

  • Create detailed work orders, document parts used, and communicate repair estimates to ensure transparency and accuracy.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, support safety protocols, and collaborate effectively with team members.

What's Needed?

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing, mechanical repair, maintenance, or a similar environment.

  • Experience using blueprints, schematics, and repair diagrams for troubleshooting and assembly.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools and repair processes.

  • Ability to work independently within assigned product lines while supporting team needs.

  • High school diploma or GED required.
