The Quality Technician performs component and assembled part layouts, conducts finished goods audits, and supports the calibration system. Important skills include Quality Plans And Controls Knowledge, Gauging Knowledge, Strong Communication Skills, Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, and Detail Oriented. Preferred (not required): CMM Knowledge.

Full job description

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Component and assembled part layout in accordance to drawing

  • Finished goods audit

  • Line Romer for quality concerns

  • Support / Engage of deviations

  • Support Calibration system (inspection, test equipment, functional gages)

  • Complete capability studies on critical, major and minor characteristics

  • Program development in PPAP principles and practices

  • Document & record data collected on inspection forms legibly

  • Promote quality workmanship that meets and/or exceeds customer expectations

  • Assist with Housekeeping in NCM area

  • Support Operations with NCMR process, inspect parts

  • Follow ITAR processes when appropriate

  • Assist NCM area with material handling, inventory, non-standard jobs etc.

  • Perform other duties as directed by Manager

Hours will be 3:15 pm-1:45 am

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1-2 years' experience working in a similar position is preferred

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Quality plans and controls knowledge

  • Gauging knowledge needed

  • CMM knowledge preferred

  • Strong communication skills

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Detail Oriented

  • Must have the ability to lift, push, pull 50 pounds

  • Must have the ability to stand, sit and walk at least 75% of the time.
