School Paraprofessional / School Aide
Make a Difference in Students' Lives Every Day!
We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and dedicated School Paraprofessionals (School Aides) to support teachers and students in creating a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about education, child development, special education, and student success.
As a School Paraprofessional, you will work alongside teachers, special education staff, and school administrators to provide instructional support, classroom assistance, behavioral support, and one-on-one student guidance. Candidates with experience in education, childcare, behavioral health, autism support, ABA, youth programs, or special education are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities

Assist teachers with daily classroom instruction and educational activities
-
Provide one-on-one and small group academic support to students
-
Reinforce lessons and help students complete assignments and classroom work
-
Support students with academic achievement, behavioral goals, and social skills development
-
Assist in implementing IEP accommodations and modifications under teacher direction
-
Help maintain a structured, safe, and positive classroom environment
-
Monitor student performance, participation, and behavior, and communicate observations to school staff
-
Provide support for students with special needs, learning disabilities, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), or behavioral challenges
-
Supervise students during classroom transitions, lunch, recess, hallways, and other school activities
-
Assist with classroom setup, organization, learning materials, and instructional resources
-
Support student engagement and encourage positive behavior and independence
-
Assist students with mobility, personal care, or other basic needs when required
-
Collaborate with teachers, counselors, special education teams, and administrators
Required Qualifications
-
High School Diploma or GED
-
Ability to work effectively with children in a classroom or educational setting
-
Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
-
Ability to follow teacher direction and school policies
-
Professional, reliable, and student-focused approach
Preferred Qualifications
-
Associate's degree or college coursework in Education, Child Development, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
-
Previous experience as a Paraprofessional, Teacher Assistant, School Aide, Instructional Aide, Classroom Assistant, Childcare Provider, Behavioral Technician, or Youth Counselor
-
Experience supporting students with disabilities, autism, behavioral needs, or special education services

Knowledge of IEPs, behavioral interventions, classroom management, or student support strategies

Paraprofessional Certification (if required by state or district)
