🚛 Heavy Equipment Operator – Waste Connections

📍 Location: West Nyack, NY

💵 Pay Starting: $22.50–$26.00/hr (based on experience)

🕓 Schedule/Hours: 6:30 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday–Friday

We’re currently seeking a safety-focused Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. In this role, you will operate heavy machinery and contribute to a safe, efficient, and environmentally sound work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating heavy equipment such as bulldozers, wheel loaders, motor graders, scrapers, and compactors.

  • Performing routine inspections and maintenance on equipment.

  • Promoting continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.

  • Interacting with customers and Waste Connections employees to determine safe and environmentally sound solutions to service issues.

What we need from you:

  • 2+ years’ experience running heavy equipment

  • Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and maintenance

  • Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures
