RQ Construction is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Preconstruction Manager to oversee and guide electrical planning efforts across multiple projects and pursuits. This hybrid position is based out of our Jacksonville, Florida office. This role is instrumental in managing the electrical preconstruction process from initial design through transition to field operations, ensuring all systems are clearly defined, coordinated, and ready for execution.
In this position, you will lead the development and organization of electrical scopes during early project phases, confirming that designs are complete, aligned with project objectives, and feasible for construction. You will work closely with cross-functional teams-including Estimating, Design, Operations, and executive leadership-to support project pursuits through scope development, design integration, budgeting, scheduling, procurement planning, and risk evaluation.
Additional responsibilities include supporting value engineering initiatives, contributing to large and complex project pursuits, and mentoring team members within the preconstruction group. This role also promotes consistency, best practices, and ongoing process improvements within the electrical discipline. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline required; equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education

Additional training in project management, construction management, electrical trade school, BIM, or CADD preferred

Minimum of 10 years in the electrical industry, including at least 5 years in a leadership role as an Electrical Project Manager or in Electrical Preconstruction

Background in conceptual estimating and electrical system design, including telecommunications and data infrastructure, preferred

Prior experience with design-build projects in government, military (DoD), or large-scale commercial environments is highly desirable

Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) preferred

Hands-on experience with software such as McCormick, Bluebeam Revu, Primavera P6, Autodesk Cloud, or comparable platforms required
