Great dining experiences are all about timing, teamwork, and delivering exceptional service. As a Food Runner, you’ll play an important role in connecting our kitchen and restaurant teams — ensuring guests receive fresh, accurate, and beautifully presented meals quickly and efficiently.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment, enjoys staying active, and loves being part of a collaborative team. You’ll help keep restaurant operations flowing smoothly while supporting Servers, Culinary teams, and guest satisfaction every step of the way.

What you’ll be doing What you’ll be doing

• Deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests quickly, accurately, and professionally while maintaining presentation standards.

• Ensure all dishes are prepared correctly and match guest orders before delivering to tables.

• Communicate effectively with Servers, Bartenders, Culinary teams, and leadership to support smooth restaurant operations.

• Assist with table maintenance, guest requests, and service support throughout dining experiences.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization across expo stations, service areas, and dining spaces.

• Support restaurants, banquets, lounges, and event operations during high-volume service periods.

• Help restock service stations, utensils, condiments, and operational supplies as needed.

• Follow food safety procedures, sanitation standards, and hotel operational guidelines at all times.

• Monitor guest satisfaction and communicate any service concerns promptly to leadership or service teams.

• Assist with setup, breakdown, and side work duties to support daily restaurant operations.

• Help create a welcoming, energetic, and team-focused atmosphere aligned with Sonesta’s People People culture.

• Any other duties as assigned.

What great looks like

• Previous restaurant, food runner, hospitality, hotel, banquet, or customer service experience preferred.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume hospitality environment.

• Strong communication, teamwork, and guest service skills.

• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and presentation.

• Ability to multitask and remain organized during busy service periods.

• Strong understanding of restaurant operations and food service flow preferred.

• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to support the team wherever needed.

• A passion for hospitality, teamwork, guest experience, and creating memorable dining moments.

• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, holidays, and event support as needed.
