About the Role:

As a CBRE Senior Controller you will manage a large team that is responsible for providing oversight of the financial performance of clients.

This job is part of the Controlling job function. They are responsible for the Management of the organization's financial controls and the preparation of financial reports for management and shareholders.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support our global delivery model. This includes providing resources and guidance to indirect team members for client delivery

  • Provide global support on processes and lead communications between BSO team and internal stakeholders

  • Provideformalsupervisiontoemployees.Monitorthetraininganddevelopmentofstaff.Conductperformance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.

  • Coordinateandmanagetheteam'sdailyactivities.Establishworkschedules,assigntasks,andcross-trainstaff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.

  • Createapositivecustomerexperiencebyopeningandmaintainingconstructiveandreliablelinesof communication.Reviewitemsbeinghandledbyjuniorteammembers.Coachandmentorasneeded.

  • Prepareperiodiccomplexfinancialstatementsandapproveauditandtaxpreparationdocuments.

  • Pointofcontactfortheimplementationandmaintenanceoftheaccountingandreportingsystems,providing technical expertise.

  • Assistexecutivemanagementwiththeimplementationofstrategicdepartmentandcorporateinitiatives.

  • Reviewandverifyfinancialinformationincludingmonthly,quarterly,andannualfinancialstatementspriorto submittal to large and high-profile clients.

  • Troubleshootandresolvecomplexissuesandensureinternalandexternalcustomerrequestsarehandled timely, accurately, and with a focus on customer service.

  • Monitorfinancialperformanceandprovideaforward-lookingviewandstrategicadvicetotheexecutive managementteam.

  • Applyabroadknowledgeofthebusiness,owndiscipline,andhowowndisciplineintegrateswithothersto achieve team and departmental objectives.

  • LeadbyexampleandmodelbehaviorsthatareconsistentwithCBRERISEvalues.Influenceotherstoadopta different point of view while being guided by policies and departmental plans.

  • Identifyandsolvetechnicalandoperationalproblemsofcomplexity.

  • Understandandrecognizethebroaderimpactacrossthedepartment.

  • Improveandchangeexistingmethods,processes,andstandardswithinthejobdiscipline.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor'sDegreepreferredwith5-8yearsofrelevantexperience.Inlieuofadegree,acombinationof experience and education will be considered.

  • Experienceintheareasofstaffing,selection,training,development,coaching,mentoring,measuring,appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.

  • Abilitytoleadtheexchangeofsensitive,complicated,anddifficultinformation,conveyperformance expectations, and handle problems.

  • Leadershipskillstomotivatetheteamtoachievebroadoperationaltargetswithimpactsonownjobdiscipline, multiple job disciplines, and department.

  • In-depthknowledgeofMicrosoftOfficeproducts.ExamplesincludeWord,Excel,Outlook,etc.

  • Extensiveorganizationalskillsandanadvancedinquisitivemindset.

  • Intermediatemathskills.Abilitytocalculatecomplicatedfiguressuchaspercentages,fractions,andother financial-related calculations.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Senior Controller position is $130,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Senior Controller position is $140,000 annually. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
