Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Die Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. This role is critical to ensuring tooling reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting production efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, experience with die repair and maintenance, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
*Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair stamping dies, molds, and tooling components to restore functionality.
- Perform scheduled maintenance on dies and tooling to prevent breakdowns and extend service life.
*Make precision adjustments to dies and molds to ensure dimensional accuracy and product quality.
*Utilize welding, grinding, and machining techniques to repair or modify tooling components.
*Maintain accurate records of die inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
*Respond to tooling breakdowns quickly to minimize production downtime.
- Follow OSHA standards, Lockout/Tagout procedures, and company safety protocols.
*Recommend tooling improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce scrap, and improve product quality.
Required Skills & Qualifications
*2–5 years of die maintenance, tool & die repair, or related manufacturing experience.
*High school diploma or GED required; technical certificate or associate degree preferred.
*Strong knowledge of stamping dies, molds, presses, and tooling systems.
*Skilled in using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision tools.
*Proficiency in welding, grinding, machining, and tool fabrication.
*Ability to diagnose tooling issues and implement effective solutions under production pressure.
