IT Support Technician - Onsite

Job Duties

Genesis10 is currently seeking an IT Support Technician for an onsite position with a Global Manufacturing Company located in Minneapolis, MN. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity. This position is fully onsite.

Compensation: $20.00 - 24.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications

Position Overview:

This is an entry-level, project-based role focused on a company-wide technology migration. The primary responsibility will be to physically visit and update manufacturing floor PCs, transitioning them from Cisco Jabber to Microsoft Teams following a standardized process. If time permits, the role may also involve assisting with the transition of laptops from Windows 10 to Windows 11.

Key Responsibilities:

Follow a defined process to migrate PCs on manufacturing floors from Cisco Jabber to Microsoft Teams

Physically access and perform the migration on each required PC within the Minnesota facilities

Provide feedback on the migration process to identify potential improvements and efficiencies

Assist with transitioning laptops from Windows 10 to Windows 11 if the primary project is completed ahead of schedule

Primary Requirements:

Ability to follow technical processes and instructions accurately

Basic hands-on experience with PC hardware and software in a Windows environment

Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

Good communication skills to provide clear feedback

Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing environment
