Job Description:

This is a 3p - 11p Position

Clinical Ladder participation is voluntary. Salary adjustments are determined by program eligibility, advancement level, and organizational guidelines.

Assess patient conditions and needs through comprehensive evaluations to develop individualized care plans.

Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, ensuring comprehensive and continuous care.

Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely according to prescribed protocols.

Monitor and evaluate patient progress continuously, adjusting care plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

Document patient care activities meticulously to maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.

Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care to promote understanding and compliance.

Advocate for patient safety by identifying potential risks and implementing preventive measures.

Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.

Maintain sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols to prevent infection and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

Perform therapeutic and diagnostic interventions such as IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collections.

Provide emotional and physical support to patients and their families during recovery.

Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care quality, safety, and efficiency.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal skill set, demonstrating compassion and respect to patients and family undergoing stressful procedures and treatments. [Required]

  • Works independently, self-motivated, takes direction from physician and management to complete assignments. [Required]

  • Maintain safe knowledge of equipment, procedures, supplies, computer, IV pumps, NOVA Glucose monitor, I-STAT, Immediate use sterilization policy and procedures. [Required]

  • Must be proficient in English [Required]

  • Ability to communicate effectively [Required]

  • EMR charting [Required]

  • Computer literate [Preferred]

  • Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems [Preferred]

  • Must have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care that addresses the physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and age-appropriate needs of the patient population served within the department [Required]
