Full job description

JOB DUTIES: * Keep parts department up-to-date on delivery schedule; * Maintain cleanliness and operability of delivery truck; * Obeys all traffic laws and follows established traffic procedures; * Complies with and enforces all safety policies and procedures; * Observe and report customer information, including customer buying habits and competitive intrusion; * Other duties as assigned; * Perform other duties as directed by Management; * Fill customer orders and ready them for delivery; * Verifies the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers; * Load Parts trucks in a safe manner, securing all items in the bed of the truck; * Retrieve parts returns and report them to Parts Manager or responsible Counter Person; * Complete vehicle safety checks per company policy and operates the vehicle within the safety guidelines; * Presents bill and receipts and collects payment for goods delivered or loaded; * Pick up parts and equipment from customers, satellite stores, and vendors per; * Follow all delivery and pick-up processes and protocol to ensure compliance and accuracy. * Properly check in our daily order, as well as orders throughout the day if available. * Help maintain inventory heath by participating in cycle counts. * Placing new stock in the proper bin location. JOB REQUIRMENTS * High school diploma or equivalent; * Prompt and courteous demeanor; * Valid Driver’s License with Clean Driving record; * Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide; * Excellent customer service skills; * Must be detail oriented; * Ability to drive vehicles with a standard (manual) and automatic transmission; * Strong written and verbal communication skills; * Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed; * Unrestricted driver’s license and clean driving record; * Excellent organizational skills; * Ability to occasionally lift or move 100 pounds from floor to waist with assistance; * Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals; * Proficient computer skills. Ability to use a smart phone or hand-held device; * A valid in-state driver’s license and a good driving record, per company standards. SCHEDULE MONDAY-FRIDAY: 8:00AM-5:00PM - NO WEEKENDS!
