Quality Lab Technician ($17/hr) - Lubbock, TX

Overview

Join one of the largest cotton seed operations in the world as a Quality Lab Technician. In this role, you’ll help ensure high-quality seed production by performing lab tests and inspections that support farmers across the U.S. and Mexico.

Estimated Start Date: August 24, 2026

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform visual quality inspections on seed samples

  • Conduct lab testing (pH, moisture, protein assays, titrations)

  • Complete germination testing (warm & cool)

  • Analyze seed purity and perform accurate seed counts

  • Collect and organize product samples

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Degree in Agriculture, Plant Science, Natural Science, Chemistry, Biology or Science related field is a plus**

  • Experience in quality inspection, lab work, or agriculture preferred

  • Experience with seed testing, farm work, or manufacturing QC

  • Basic knowledge of biology, chemistry, or QC processes

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Must provide Passport or Birth Certificate for onboarding

Schedule & Environment

  • Standard: Mon–Fri, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

  • Peak season (Nov–Jan): Day & night shifts available, up to 50 hrs/week

  • Feb–May: Weekend availability may be required

  • Fast-paced lab and production environment

This is a Contract position based out of Littlefield, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
