Full Time - Evenings

What you will do:

  • Responsible for assisting the surgical teams with direct and indirect patient’s care. Functions as a member of the surgical team under the direct supervision of a registered perioperative nurse. Additional functions include assisting with direct patient care, applying asepsis and sterilization principles and techniques, supporting resource and environmental management of the intraoperative setting and professional development Direct Patient Care

  • Identifies and transports correct patients, specimens and x-rays

  • Demonstrates proper body mechanics while transferring and positioning patients

  • Assists with patient positioning and holding limbs for surgical prepping

  • Handles small and large pieces of sterile/non-sterile surgical and anesthesia equipment

  • Medications are stocked, organized and maintained in accordance with established standards, policies and procedures

  • Maintains competencies for Level I Clinical Associate

  • Age related and cognitive skills are considered when implementing all patient care

  • Performs other duties as assigned Asepsis/Sterilization

  • Understands and applies standard precautions

  • Comprehends and maintains proper surgical attire

  • Understands and differentiates between concepts of sterile and non-sterile as related to the Operating Room environment Resource Management

  • Identifies basic OR equipment and supplies

  • Transports and stores surgical equipment

  • Cleans OR equipment according to manufacturer’s guidelines

  • Identifies OR supplies by name

  • Restocks assigned areas

  • Obtains and delivers surgical supplies and equipment

  • Obtains and delivers case carts to assigned rooms

What you will need:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years experience in a health care environment preferred

Pay Range: $17.85 - $23.33

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
