Full job description
Job Duties
This position is responsible for operating motorized equipment and performing related work to
maintain and repair County roads, bridges, related structures, and highway maintenance
equipment, with the primary task being the operation of heavy equipment, to provide for the
safety and adequate travel and accessibility for the public.
Minimum Education Required
High school diploma or GED and two to four (2-4) years’ operating heavy
equipment or an equivalent combination of education/training/experience.
Minimum Experience Required
Valid MN Class A CDL Driver’s License
Knowledge and skill in proper snow and ice removal techniques.
Knowledge of small and large engine mechanics.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
