Department Summary:
Drake University's Athletics Department competes in the Missouri Valley Conference at the NCAA Division I level. Bulldog student-athletes thrive in the classroom and their respective field of play. Drake Athletics sport programs are considered Des Moines’ Hometown Team.

Job Summary:
Drake University is seeking applicants for a cheer coordinator. The successful candidate will support a positive academic, athletic, and social environment for student-athletes while creating a culture of excellence and ethics.

Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.

Ability to build rapport with students, coaches, and staff.

Skills to help student-athletes improve through training / coaching.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required.

Knowledge and basic proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel

Knowledge of applicable NCAA Rules and regulations.

Experience playing at the collegiate level preferred.

Master’s degree preferred.
-
Coaching experience at the collegiate or professional level preferred.
Job Duties:
Drake University, a Division I institution competing in the Missouri Valley Conference, seeks a cheer coordinator.
Essential functions include, but are not limited to:

60% - Coaching and development of student-athletes - (Essential)
