Full job description

The LPN will work collaboratively with physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and other ancillary members of the Health Services Team to provide comprehensive and holistic clinical care for students illnesses, injuries, immunizations, and health education needs. Commonly performed clinical duties include obtaining vital signs and patient histories, medication administration and injection, assisting providers with procedures (i.e., the procedures). sutures, I&D, IUD/Nexplanon insertion/removal), IV insertion/maintenance, and specimen collection. The LPNs also ensure autoclave, and sterilization procedures are followed.

In addition to the clinical duties, laboratory responsibilities include phlebotomy, specimen handling and point-of-care testing. There are two openings for this role, one on a 9-month schedule and one on an 11-month schedule. Both positions report directly to the Assistant Nurse Manager.
