MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN II

Location: West Salem Clinic | 1233 Edgewater Tt. NW, Salem OR 97304

Job Status: Full-Time | Non-Exempt

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Maintenance Technician II, you help create safe, functional, reliable spaces where employees can do their best work and patients, clients, and community members can receive the services they need.

This is more than fixing what is broken.

You will be the person who notices the problem before it becomes an emergency, figures out why something isn't working, makes the repair safely, and takes pride in knowing the building is better because of your work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Diagnosing why an HVAC system isn't functioning properly.

  • Repairing a plumbing issue before it causes additional damage.

  • Troubleshooting an electrical or mechanical problem.

  • Completing preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment.

  • Inspecting facilities and identifying safety or maintenance concerns.

  • Repairing doors, flooring, fixtures, lighting, furnishings, and equipment.

  • Supporting remodeling, construction, or space-reconfiguration projects.

  • Responding to urgent maintenance or building-security issues.

  • Documenting inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 3 years of facilities, maintenance, trade, or related construction experience.

  • Hands-on maintenance and remodeling experience.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair building systems.

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize work.

  • Knowledge and safe operation of power tools.

  • Valid Oregon Driver's License, automobile insurance, good driving record
