Position Summary:

Yardhorse Team Members' basic duties are moving trailers around the Distribution Center from one destination to another. Safe operation of Yardhorse equipment while moving trailers is a requirement. Yardhorse Team Members will be working outside dealing with elements such as rain, snow, wind, dust and heat.

  • 1st Shift Position Available

Position Responsibilities:

  • Safely and efficiently move trailers to different areas of the facility

  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain safe working conditions while driving and operating equipment in order to ensure personal safety and the safety of others

  • Open and close swinging trailer doors.

  • Ensure proper freight securement of all loaded trailers

  • Ability to work accurately with numbers and perform simple mathematical calculations

  • Communicate with area supervisors using a yard management system to ensure proper placement of trailers

  • Perform pre-trip inspection on trailers

  • Perform safety check of tractor vehicle prior to operation

  • Basic mechanical skills.

Position Requirements:

  • Must possess a good driving record

  • Experience operating tractor/trailer or willingness to learn

  • CDL license preferred but not required

  • Enjoy working outdoors

  • Proof of valid driver’s license
