As a Patient Access Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in ensuring patients have a smooth and welcoming experience from the moment they arrive or call our office. What You'll Do
In this role, you will:
Welcome patients and provide outstanding customer service in person and over the phone.
Register patients accurately by collecting demographic, insurance, and visit information.
Verify insurance eligibility, Medicare compliance, and patient benefits before appointments.
Pre-register patients and discuss insurance benefits and financial responsibilities with confidence and compassion.
Calculate patient responsibility estimates and collect point-of-service payments while explaining payment expectations and available payment options.
Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed.
Utilize patient access and registration software to support efficient office operations.
Ensure compliance with state, federal, and organizational regulations related to patient access services.
Complete ongoing education and training requirements.
Support the team by performing additional administrative duties as needed.
What We're Looking For
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Strong computer and data entry skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
A positive attitude and commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
