Senior QA Engineer – eLIMS-BP

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled  Senior QA Engineer  to join the eLIMS-BPT team. The candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, compliance, and performance of our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and related applications used by global BioPharma laboratories.

The role requires strong expertise in functional testing, test automation, release validation, root cause analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Testing

• Analyze requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to identify test scenarios.

• Create, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test data.

• Perform Functional, Integration, Regression, Smoke, and UAT support testing.

• Validate complex business workflows across eLIMS-BPT and integrated applications.

• Ensure complete test coverage and traceability between requirements and test evidence. Test Automation

• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and automated test suites.

• Improve automation coverage to reduce manual testing effort and increase release confidence.

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

• Analyze automation failures and continuously improve test reliability. Defect Management

• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through closure.

• Perform detailed root cause analysis for escaped defects.

• Work closely with developers and business stakeholders to validate fixes. Release & Validation Support

• Support release planning, validation activities, and controlled deployments.

• Participate in release readiness reviews and risk assessments.

• Ensure required evidence is generated and maintained for regulated environments.

• Support audit and compliance activities when required. Collaboration & Leadership

• Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, Business Analysts, Functional Analysts, and Support teams.

• Mentor junior QA engineers and guide testing best practices.

• Participate actively in grooming, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

• Drive process improvements to improve product quality and team efficiency. Quality Engineering

• Define and track quality metrics such as defect leakage, automation coverage, and test effectiveness.

• Recommend improvements in testing strategies, tools, and processes.

• Promote a quality-first mindset across delivery teams. Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

• 5–8+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.

• Strong experience in Functional and Regression Testing.

• Experience with Test Automation tools such as WebDriverIO, Selenium, Playwright, or equivalent.

• Good understanding of API testing using Postman or similar tools.

• Experience with SQL and database validation.

• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Experience using Azure DevOps or similar ALM tools.

• Understanding of CI/CD concepts and release management practices. Domain Knowledge

• Experience in Healthcare, Life Sciences, Laboratory Systems, LIMS, ELN, or regulated environments is preferred.

• Understanding of validation concepts and evidence generation in regulated systems is an advantage.

• Familiarity with GxP, GMP, GLP, CSV, or related compliance processes is desirable. Soft Skills

• MCA or Bachelors in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent. Personal Skills:

• Demonstrated positive attitude, self-motivated, team player. PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL CRITERIA : Eurofins has a strong focus on Performance Management system. This includes quarterly calibrations, half-yearly reviews and annual reviews. The KPIs shall be set and may vary slightly between projects. These will be clearly communicated, documented during the first 30 days of your joining.
