Location: Souris Valley Care Center Address: 300 Main St S, Velva, ND 58790-9443 USA Employment Type: Full-Time Shift: 8 Hours - Day Shifts

Job Responsibilities

Performs preventive maintenance on facility and equipment. Completes repairs as needed/requested. Keeps various work and storage rooms, garage/ shed, tools and supplies organized and clean. Keeps building and grounds free of garbage and debris. Paints, patches or repairs all interior surfaces. Assures all floor surfaces are clean and appropriately finished. Paints and maintains all exterior building surfaces and window frames. Maintains lawn and exterior plantings. Maintains furniture, lighting, flags, and signs. Keeps sidewalks and parking lots well-marked, free of debris, snow and ice. Assists with requested maintenance on location vehicles. Follows routine housekeeping and laundering schedules cleans floors; walls and doors; and furniture as required. Follows special cleaning procedures as assigned and necessary, including discharge cleaning and isolation cleaning. Assist with cleaning resident rooms, bathrooms, work areas, and other public areas. Prepares and launders soiled linen and clothing; folds and distributes clean linens. Cleans and disinfects folding area, linen trucks and personal delivery carts daily; cleans and disinfects washers and dryers. Keeps residents’ items and call light within reach per residents’ preference and location policy. Monitors / reports lingering odors throughout the location; takes appropriate corrective action to prevent odors from lingering. Offers residents choices / options for times to have room cleaned; respects and reports residents’ refusals. Receives and shares information. Completes documentation on appropriate forms as assigned. Utilizes appropriate communication techniques with resident per care plan. Explains procedures to resident before and during cleaning, unless disruptive for the resident. Completes quality improvement audits and participate in task forces and location care conferences as assigned. Keep chemicals secured in locked area as per policy. Demonstrates safe and proper techniques for chemical use and equipment. Follows SDS guidelines for any exposure. Responds appropriately to emergency needs in the location. Adheres to OSHA and CDC guidelines to minimize infections by following aseptic cleaning techniques, including those that apply to blood borne pathogens.
