Pediatric CNA - School-Based Home Care

Location: Canton, PA

Schedule: School Hours (Monday-Friday)

Are you a compassionate CNA who enjoys working with children? We're looking for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide one-on-one support for a pediatric client in a school setting in the Canton, PA area.

This is a rewarding opportunity to help a child succeed at school while providing essential care and companionship throughout the day.

What You'll Do

• Provide personal care and support to a pediatric student during school hours

• Assist with daily activities, mobility, and classroom participation as needed

• Monitor the student's well-being and report concerns to the supervising nurse

• Promote a safe, comfortable, and positive learning environment

• Work closely with school staff, parents, and the clinical care team

• Follow the individualized care plan and agency policies

What We're Looking For

• Current Pennsylvania CNA certification

• Compassion for children and families

• Reliable transportation

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to work independently in a school setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with pediatric patients

• School-based, home care, or special needs experience

• CPR certification

Requirements:

• Successful completion of a nursing assistant/home health aide or competency training and evaluation program as applicable, per State/Federal regulations

• Successful completion of Maxim’s Clinical Competency Program for home health aides, including successful completion of examinations with score of 80% or higher, and demonstration of all required skills per State/Federal regulations

• Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given

• Meets Maxim and applicable State Background Investigation requirements

• Possession of current CPR certification and First Aid training/certification as applicable, per State regulations

• Participation in Tuberculosis screening/testing requirements per Maxim policy and as applicable, per State regulation

• Successful completion of Maxim’s orientations/trainings, in-service program, and Maxim training examinations, with a score of 80% or greater
