Warehouse Manager

Job Summary:

The Warehouse Manager will manage all warehouse activities, ensuring efficient processes and maximizing productivity. They will oversee inventory management, coordinate logistics, maintain safety protocols, and lead the warehouse team. This role requires strong organizational skills, a detail-oriented approach, and effective leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management:

  • Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supply.

  • Oversee timely delivery of goods to production team and reconcile inventory

after each production order is completed.

  • Oversee accurate and timely recordings of all stock transactions.

  • Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure data accuracy.

  • Leading Physical Inventory across 3 Miami locations at least once annually

  • Team Leadership:

  • Recruit, orient, supervise, train, schedule and motivate warehouse staff.

  • Assign tasks and monitor the performance of team members.

  • Promote a positive work environment and address employee concerns.

  • Prepare Annual Budget and Monitor budgets related to logistics operations, ensuring cost-effectiveness including Equipment Maintenance and defining and budget equipment needs.

  • Develop and implement logistics strategies that align with company goals.

  • Supervise dispatching activities to optimize the flow of goods.

  • Logistics Coordination:

  • Schedule and oversee the receipt and dispatch of goods.

  • Coordinate with transportation companies for timely shipments.

  • Manage the loading and unloading of products, ensuring proper handling.

  • Understanding of International Documentation Compliance and variances between countries. I.E. Commercial Invoice, Certificate of Origin, Customs Declaration, Dangerous Goods Declaration (if applicable).

  • Process Optimization:

  • Identify opportunities for improving warehouse operations and efficiency.

  • Ensure Efficient Space Utilization

  • Implement and monitor lean warehousing practices.

  • Develop, review, and refine operational procedures.

  • Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

  • Conduct regular inspections to maintain a clean and organized warehouse.

  • Implement and enforce safety protocols for staff and equipment.

  • Data Management and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and warehouse expenses.

  • Generate reports on warehouse operations, inventory levels, and staff performance.

  • Provide management with regular updates on warehouse efficiency and challenges.

  • Dangerous Goods:

  • Follow regulations established by local and international authorities, such as the Department of Transportation (DOT), International Air Transport Association (IATA), and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

  • Classification: Dangerous goods are categorized into classes (e.g., explosives, flammable liquids, toxic substances). Proper classification ensures compliance and safe handling.

  • Waste Management and Disposal:

  • Proper Disposal: Follow protocols for disposing of dangerous goods to avoid environmental contamination. Work with certified hazardous waste disposal companies if needed.

  • Documentation: Record and report the disposal of hazardous materials as required by law.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in warehouse management or a related role.

  • Proficiency in warehouse management software (WMS), ERP systems, and Microsoft Office.

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Knowledge of safety and health standards, as well as best practices for warehousing.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in lean warehousing and process improvement.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve logistical and personnel issues effectively.

  • Ability to lift and move products and materials as required.

  • Capable of standing, walking, and operating equipment including but not limited to standup reach forklift and sit-down forklift in a warehouse setting for extended periods.

Salary Range: $70,000 to $80,000
