Full job description
We are seeking a Manager Land Negotiations to join American Tower’s Property Organization in Mexico, Brazil or other countries.
The Property team is responsible for safeguarding and optimizing the company’s land portfolio through the execution of complex land transactions including lease renewals, amendments, acquisitions, regularization processes, and risk‑mitigation strategies.
Day to day, you will focus on negotiating and managing agreements that support American Tower’s strategic, financial, and operational objectives across Mexico, Brazil or other countries. As a Manager Land Negotiations, you will partner cross‑functionally with Finance, Legal, Operations, Real Estate Planning, Construction, Development, and commercial teams to ensure contract compliance, secure long‑term site stability, and deliver portfolio optimization initiatives.
You will also interact with external customers such as landowners, government entities, specialized vendors, and consultants to drive successful outcomes.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Engineering, or related field required.

MBA or Management Development Program preferred.

Minimum 5 years of experience in land lease negotiations, acquisitions, or contract management; experience in telecommunications or real estate preferred.

Technical skills required: Microsoft Office, Excel, Power BI.

Strong negotiation, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities required.

Knowledge of wireless tower industry and real estate related practices preferred.

Advanced English is required.

Approximately 20–25% travel may be required.

Lead and execute land negotiations for lease renewals, amendments, acquisitions, regularization processes, and other portfolio related transactions in Mexico, Brazil or other countries, while also supporting extended management responsibilities and participating in cross regional projects across Latin America or other markets as required.

Implement governance processes and negotiation frameworks aligned with regional and global standards.

Manage relationships with landowners and external vendors, ensuring compliance, transparency, and effective dispute resolution.

Collaborate with Legal, Finance, and operational teams to ensure contracts meet regulatory, financial, and strategic requirements.

Monitor KPIs, assess risks, prepare business cases, and present negotiation outcomes and opportunities to senior leadership.

As a Manager Land Negotiations, you are responsible for the recruitment, performance management, and career development of the local land negotiation team, cultivating a collaborative culture that enables achievement of business objectives.

Approximately 20–25% of time will be performed outside conventional office environments, including site visits and in country travel.
