Job Description:
Shift Information:
Second Shift (3:00 PM to 11:30 PM) – Sunday through Thursday
Complies with healthcare, federal, state, and local rules and regulations. Develops and implements departmental equipment procedures for power outages. Installs, inspects, maintains, repairs, and performs preventive maintenance on all heating, air conditioning, and ventilation systems. Prepares the preventive maintenance schedule and produces reports. Coordinates and performs electrical equipment maintenance, installations, and modifications per all applicable codes and regulations. Assists in the operation and general maintenance of painting, plumbing, HVAC, locksmith, and alarm systems, overseeing essential repairs and other duties. Troubleshoots, tests, and repairs mechanical machinery, equipment, systems, and physical structures as scheduled or needed under limited guidance. Monitors work performed by outside contractors to ensure requirements are met and results are documented properly. Responds to in-house work orders and preventive maintenance tasks. Responds to emergency calls and takes call in accordance with facility needs. Provides on-the-job skills training. Supports and contributes to the development of new processes, products, or services. Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to identify equipment needs, parts and supplies, and maintain adequate inventory. [Required]
- Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English. [Required]
- Must have the ability to document records neatly and accurately. [Required]
- Ability to generate requisitions for materials and supplies. [Required]
- Ability to assign priority and teams in a timely manner. [Required]
- Ability to instruct others as per blueprints and work from sketches. [Required]
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form. [Required]
- Ability to read, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. [Required]
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. [Required]
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volumes. [Required]
- Knowledge of safe handling tools and equipment. [Required]
- Basic Microsoft office computer skills. [Required]
Education:
- High School/Equivalent grad OR 5+ years experience [Required]
Work Experience:
- 2+ years of healthcare maintenance experience [Preferred]
- 5+ years of hvac/r experience [Required]
- 3+ years commercial experience [Preferred]
Licenses and Certifications:

Pay Range:
$23.91 - $44.46 Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law)
