Position Overview

Our client, a global manufacturer within a highly regulated industry, is seeking a strategic Senior Human Resources Business Partner to serve as the lead HR partner for its Cypress manufacturing campus. Supporting approximately 250 employees, this role will partner directly with senior operations leadership across manufacturing, production, and engineering while serving as the HR Site Leader responsible for cultivating a high-performing, engaged workplace culture.

This position is ideal for an experienced HR Business Partner who enjoys influencing business decisions, coaching leaders, driving organizational effectiveness, and developing talent strategies within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Rather than focusing on transactional HR responsibilities, this role serves as a trusted advisor to leadership, helping shape workforce strategy and organizational success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with manufacturing, production, and engineering leaders to develop and execute strategic human capital initiatives aligned with business objectives.

  • Serve as the primary HR Business Partner and trusted advisor to site leadership, providing guidance on workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, leadership development, and employee engagement.

  • Lead organizational design initiatives, change management efforts, and organizational development programs that support business growth.

  • Coach and influence managers on performance management, employee relations, talent development, and California employment law.

  • Drive workforce planning, succession planning, talent reviews, and leadership development initiatives to build a strong pipeline of future leaders.

  • Analyze workforce metrics and HR data to provide actionable insights that support business decisions.

  • Partner closely with Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Compensation, Employee Relations, and other HR Centers of Excellence to deliver comprehensive HR solutions.

  • Coordinate annual performance management, compensation planning, and headcount planning processes.

  • Serve as the HR Site Leader by driving employee engagement initiatives, strengthening company culture, coordinating site events, and fostering an inclusive, high-performing workplace.

  • Participate in regional and enterprise-wide HR initiatives and cross-functional projects.

  • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

  • At least 7 years of progressive HR experience, including substantial support of business leaders in an HR Business Partner capacity.

  • Background supporting manufacturing, engineering, industrial operations, or other highly regulated environments is strongly preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of California employment law and experience advising on complex workplace and employee relations issues.

  • Demonstrated success in workforce planning, succession planning, organizational development, talent management, and change leadership.

  • Ability to influence senior leaders through sound judgment, business insight, and effective coaching.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and relationship-management skills, with experience working across matrixed organizations.

  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms such as SuccessFactors or similar systems is preferred.Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Seven or more years of progressive Human Resources experience, including significant HR Business Partner experience supporting operational leaders.

  • Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial operations, engineering, or other regulated environments strongly preferred.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of California employment law and demonstrated ability to advise leaders on complex employee matters.

  • Proven experience in workforce planning, organizational development, succession planning, talent management, and change management.

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to influence senior leadership and drive strategic initiatives.

  • Excellent analytical, communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.

  • Experience working within a matrixed organization and collaborating with Centers of Excellence.

  • Proficiency with SAP, SuccessFactors, or similar HRIS platforms is preferred.
